Flute Choir in Glasgows West End
This will take place on December 3rd at Govan and Linthouse Parish Church, Skipness Road, at 7.00 pm. There will be a mixture of music, old and new, with much having a seasonal theme.
During the interval there will be the usual excellent refreshments and a raffle. All moneys raised will be shared between Govan and Linthouse Parish Church and Flute Phonics.

Next Friday 28 October at 7.30 we will be playing at a fundraiser for Mary’s meals at Lochwinnoch golf club. For this concert, as well as regular concert flutes we have people playing the piccolo, alto flute and bass flute. We will be playing a variety of music ranging from Mozart to the Beatles. We had a wonderful evening with the Metropolitan Flute Orchestra on July 24th. Both groups performed separately, and then as a finale we combined forces to play “Towards the Blue Horizon” by Mel Orriss.

| As part of the West End Festival we are holding two open rehearsals during the month of June. If you are a flute player grade 4 or above and are wondering whether you might like to join a group, then this is for you. Come along and join us for an evening and see how you get on.
The open rehearsals will be held at Hillhead Baptist Church on the 7th and 21st of June. Enter by the Cranworth Street door. Please bring your flute and come along to join us for one or both of these two evenings, you would be most welcome. |
